Drug Rehabilitation and Substance Abuse Treatment at Support Systems

Research indicates that family involvement in substance abuse treatment is crucial. In order to provide support, information, and resources, Support Systems Homes has developed a Family Education Program for our clients' family members.

Family Program

Alcohol and Drug addiction are conditions that affect not only the addict or alcoholic but also the family system as a whole. Support Systems Homes has developed a Family Program to meet the needs of those who have been impacted by another person's alcohol or drug problem.

The goal of our Family Program is to introduce participants to the principles of recovery, along with providing necessary social and emotional support. The educational component of the Family Program takes place once a week and assists the client and family members in understanding the complicated web of addiction and its impact on the family as a whole.

Family members of clients who are participating in Detox, Residential, Day, and Outpatient Treatment programs are welcome to attend this program.

Services include:

• Group sessions facilitated by professional counselors
• One-on-one assistance
• Informational material
• Referrals to other support services if needed
• Introduction to 12 step and Alanon recovery principles
